Stuff & Nonsense product and website design

We’re looking for a product designer to join Nozomi Networks

For 35 weeks every year—three weeks per month—I work with Nozomi Networks guiding the creative direction and experience design of their cyber security products. The team is growing, so we’re looking for a product designer to join us.

Nozomi Networks is based in Mendrisio in southern Switzerland, just over the border from Italy. The office is close to Milan and only a stones throw from Como. They make products which large companies us to manage their cyber security.

This might sound deadly dull—which is partly what I first thought— and not at all what you may expect me to enjoy working on. But, what’s great about working with Nozomi Networks is their keenness to explore every creative possibility to bring their data and a customer’s experience of it to life

The people there are great too. They’re a diverse group, friendly and smart, and I enjoy working with them a lot. They’ve been incredibly supportive of everyone in the team throughout the pandemic and I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

My role at Nozomi Networks is Director of Product Design and I guide their products’ creative direction and experience design. With new products being developed, we’re looking for an experienced product UI/UX designer to join the team. For now there’ll just be two of us in design, so there’s plenty of scope to grow along with the company.

We’re looking for someone based in Europe as the position can be fully remote, but with occasional travel to Switzerland. Or, you may want to relocate to the Mendrisio area and be based in the office there. The job advert says you’ll need to:

This last point is important because it’s now time for us to establish a Nozomi Networks design system and you will have an important role in shaping it.

Take a look at the job advert. If you want to talk about any aspect of the role, get in touch with me. My Twitter DMs are open (@malarkey) or you can email me at andy.clarke[at]nozominetworks[dot]com.
