The Net Awards returns for 2014, but unlike previous years, this time I’d actually appreciate your vote.
Awards ceremonies and I don’t usually mix. In 2011 I was shortlisted for Designer Of The Year and frankly I did my level best to encourage people to vote for someone else, Sarah Parmenter in fact, who went on to win.
I felt that I hadn’t done anything worthy of nomination, yet alone being shortlisted. In fact, I’d spent the year prior writing Hardboiled Web Design so had done virtually no design work at all. Now, had the nomination been for Best Book, I’d have been all over that like a rash, but there wasn’t and strangely still isn’t, an award for writing.
This year though, I’m in the mood, so I’m doing something out of character. I’m asking that if you listen, like and want to say thank-you for the time that I, Anna and our guests take to bring you Unfinished Business each week, that you nominate us for Podcast Of The Year. It would mean a lot.
